Canadian Express entry draw of April 11, 2018, which witnessed 3,500 invitations with CRS scores as low as 444 is the highest slots since the beginning of the year.

The draw was done by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), even though the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for March 26 was 446.

“The cut-off score is two points lower than the previous invitation round, which took place on March 26 and had a CRS minimum of 446.

The March 26 draw took place 12 days after the previous invitation round on March 14 and saw the CRS cut-off score drop by 10 points over that previous invitation round,” CIC News says.

The April 11 draw was 500 invitations higher than the recent trend of 3,000 ITAs, which was also the case in the four previous draws.

So far, Canadian government has issued 21,000 ITAs since the start of 2018.
We gathered that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied the tie-break rule in the Wednesday’s draw.

Report says the tie-break was carried out on March 26, 2018.

What does this mean?

If candidates with 444 CRS scored were selected from the Express Entry pool, it means those who had higher scores were at advantage by receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

How you can enter the Express Entry pool?

To enter the Express Entry pool and be assigned a CRS score, you need to be eligible under one of Canada’s federal economic immigration programs, which include the following:

1) The Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC),
2) Canadian Experience Class (CEC),
3) Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC).

Canada’s multi-year immigration levels plan is targeting 74,900 admissions for the 2018-2020 three economic immigration classes administered through the Express Entry system.

We can’t independently say if the April 11 draw will be the highest for the rest of the year, but we do know that it’s the highest since the beginning of 2018.
