Serena Williams gives birth to first child: A baby girl!

World tennis champion Serena Williams is now a Mom as she gave birth to her first child, a baby girl, with Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, on Friday, according to ETonline and other multiple reports.

On intstagram, American award winning singer, Beyonce, was the first to congratulate Williams following the baby news.

Williams announced her pregnancy via Snapchat in April, but she kept the sex of the baby. Some media reports say she accidentally announced her pregnancy, since then she has been very open in documenting her journey to motherhood online.

BET, ARMY News, WBLS 107.5 are some of the top media organizations that have sent congratulatory messages to the former world number one tennis player Williams, 35, and her husband, Ohanian, 34.

In a two separate tweets Williams’ coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, congratulates the newest parents:

“Congratulations @serenawilliams for your baby girl. I am so happy and I feel your emotion. Recover well and enjoy without limitation.”

“Congratulations @alexisohanian for yourfor your baby girl. I have 3 daughters and each time it is the same incredible journey. I am happy for you.”

Neither Serena nor Ohanian has replied to millions of congratulations sent to them on their social media channels at the time of filling this report. That’s understandable considering the excitement new baby brings to a family that’s welcoming their first ever baby.

Williams, with 6.4million Instagram followers and 9.1million twitter followers won the Australian Open in January — without dropping a set and progressed to the finals, beating her sister, Venus.

She took maternity leave from the tour in April, but  tried to keep up her fitness routine up until the baby’s birth.

And her coach, Patrick, seems eager to welcome her back to the court, “I wish you a speedy recovery…we have a lot of work ahead of us,” he tweeted Friday, September 1, 2017.

Congrats to the new parents Ohanian and Serena
