Guaranty Trust Bank Plc has an alternative to its  hardware token. It is called  GTBank USSD token code. With the GTBank USSD token you are able to carry out transaction on internet banking.
What is USSD?
USSD is Unstructured Supplementary Service Data. USSD is  a Global System for Mobile(GSM) communication technology that is used to send text between a mobile phone and an application program in the network.
The essence of GTBank USSD token is to simplify the way we generate token code whenever we  want to complete third party transfers by dialing *737*7# on the phone number registered on your bank account.
This does not mean you cannot no longer use your original hardware token, but in an event of not having  your GTBank hardware within your reach, you simply use the method to carry out third party transaction.
How to use GTBank USSD token
  • Dial *737*7# on the phone number linked to your account.
