Speaker Oyo House of Assembly dead, as Tambuwal loses media aid

The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Micheal Adeyemo, has died, a lawmaker in the state has disclosed.

The cause of his death is yet to be confirmed officially, but another source said he died of heart attack, while his remains have been taken to the mortuary.

Adeyemo hailed from Lanlate, Ibarapa East Local Government Area of Oyo State.

He attended IMG, Oke Ado, Ibadan for his elementary education, and Celestial Church High School, Oke Ado, Ibadan for his secondary school education.

He later went to University of Port Harcourt for his first degree another one at the University of Ibadan.

He lost his wife about five years ago, during his first term in the House as the then Deputy Chief Whip of the 7th assembly.

In a related development, Special Adviser, Media, to the Governor of Sokoto State, Imam Imam, is dead.

A tweet by the Sokoto State Government at the early hours of Friday says Imam died at the Nziamye Turkish hospital, Abuja, after a brief illness.
