INEC PVC Portal to Check your Voter’s Status (Ahead of Nigeria’s 2019 General Elections)

Do you need to verify your voters’ card details or you want to know the exact location where you Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) is?

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has created a portal a few months back a special portal for Nigerians to check the status of their voters’ card.

How to check your voter’s card on INEC PVC Portal

Majority of us didn’t register at our polling unit. This greatly affected students who are now graduates or working elsewhere. This is how to check your voter’s card details

Step 1:

Enter the INEC PVC Checker Portal at http://voterreg.inecnigeria.org/ to any browser of your choice. Preferably Google Chrome, UC browser or any other advanced browser. Opera mini may not be able to load the required information, please

Step 2:

Under the state of residence, enter the state where you did registration. For instance if your state of origin is Ogun, but you did the registration in Borno State, then enter Borno State in the state of residence space.

Step 3:

Enter your surname

Step 4:

Enter the last seven digits of your Voter’s Identification Number (VIN). Please see the photo for guidance.

If you have lost the temporary card (i.e the paper print version) then use your date of birth to search for the location of your card.

Step 5:

Click on search. Hitting search would bring up the polling unit you registered, state and every details about your card.
