Nigerian Navy shortlists 913 candidates for Short Service interview, screening begins April 10

The Nigerian Navy has released the names of successful applicants who wrote its December 17 ,2016 Direct Short Service Course 24.

Out of the thousands of applicants who wrote the exam at various locations in Nigeria, 913 candidates are shortlisted for screening beginning from April 10,2017.

According to the list,  25 candidates made it from each states,  except Yobe,  which has 24 successful candidates.

Federal Capital Territory (FCT)  has the lowest candidates.  It has 14.

A statement signed by Navy Secretary says,  “The candidates are herebyi nvited to appear before the DSSC 24 Selection Board for further screening at the Nigerian Navy Secondary School Ojo, Lagos from 10 – 24 April 2017.

“Those who fail to report on stipulated date automatically stand disqualified.”

It says applicants would udergo academic screening of certificates, medical test, physical fitness test, written and oral examinations.

They’re expected to bring along originals and photocopies of their academic certificates/credentials:

(1)    Statement of Results.

(2)     Testimonial for Primary and Secondary Schools attended (with Scratch Cards for Verification of O’Level Results).

(3)    Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age.

(4)    NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

(5)    Four (4) recent coloured Passport Photographs.

b.      Writing materials.

c.      Three pairs of white (unmarked) vests and navy blue shorts.

d.      A pair of white canvas/trainers.

e.      Two bed sheets and pillow cases.

f.       A set of Cutleries.

g.      Toiletries.

“Please note that the Nigerian Navy Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 24 Selection Board will only attend to candidates whose names appear on or based on the DSSC guidelines.”
