2016 police recruitment: Download full list of 8,500 successful candidates

The Police Service Command, PSC, today in Abuja released names of 8,500 successful applicants out of the Federal Government’s 10,000 police recruitment exercise

According to NAN Command’s Head, Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani,said the candidates were made up 7,500 constables, 500 Cadet Inspectors and 500 cadet Assistant Superintendents of Police, ASP.

“The names of the successful applicants have been uploaded on the websites of the Command and the Nigeria Police Force.”

Applicants have been asked to check the commission’s websites; and the Nigeria Police Force website, for their names.

Ani said the command had concluded 80% of the 1,500 specialist recruitment into the force, adding that candidates who applied under certain disciplines have been shortlisted for further professional and expert interview “These include state screening which involved the screening of credentials of the candidates and physical screening such as height, sight, chest, etc.” Ani said.2016-nigeria-police-aptitude-test

He said 911,438 applications were received electronically for the recruitment exercise comprising 262,462 for cadet ASP, 211,832 for cadet inspector and 437,144 for constable.

“A total of 338,250 applicants were later shortlisted, also electronically, and invited for screening at the state commands of the Nigeria Police Force.

“This figure was made up of 44,684 shortlisted for cadet ASP, 87,736 for cadet inspector and 205,830 for constable.

“This process was followed through from command to zone and finally, the national level, where the successful candidates were selected,” he said.

  • please are there some specialist candidate remain for the appointment in to the police force as it was speculated by some ? if yes when would there names going to be release ? are they also going to start training at the same time with the current one released? is it only specialist or including general duties ?
