The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board said it’s yet to commence the sales of its application forms for 2017 UTME, JAMB’s Head, Media and Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said in a statement on Sunday in Lagos.

The board has urged the public to disregard the speculations by some group of persons which is aimed at defrauding unsuspecting prospective JAMB applicants.

According to the statement, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, expressed disappointment with the development and calls on Nigerians to ignore the claims.

“The public is hereby notified that JAMB has not commenced the sales of its application documents as advertised by some unknown and desperate persons.

“We are putting finishing touches to innovation and changes to ease the challenges associated with the procedure of application for the 2017 all Computer-Based Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

“We are looking forward to announcing the commencement of the sales of these documents very soon,’’ the statement quoted the registrar as saying.

The statement advised the public to feel free to contact the board for clarification on its activities through its website  or contact numbers (+2347055520289, +2348188840369, +2348123658955) whenever they were in doubt.
