Significance of the attack

Nigerian government said mid 2016 that it had defeated the dreaded terrorist group, but there are still skirmishes of attacks by the group.

The recent attack on military location in northern Borno State which led to the killing of one of Nigerian promising army officer is a wakeup call for the Nigerian troops not to over celebrate the defeat of Boko Haram.

And not to relent just as the remnants of the group still regroup in unknown locations to carry out attacks at unexpected time and places.

May his gallant soul continue to rest in peace
