FG releases 2016/2017 Unity Schools admission list, 22,422 given admission

The 2016/2017 list of successful candidates into the Federal Government Unity Colleges (FUC) has been released by the Federal Government.

Analysis of the list indicated that a total of 89,231 candidates wrote the examination, out of which 46,869 candidates met the cutoff mark; 22,422 candidates out of the 46,869 candidates were given admission.

A statement signed by the Deputy Director of Press and Public Relations in the Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Bem Goong, said candidates can check the admission status online on

Out of the 24,422 candidates admitted, Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC) Bwari, Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC) Owerri and Federal Government College (FGC) Enugu top the list with a total of 400 students each.

Federal Science and Technical College (FSTC) Otukpo and Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC) Tambuwal had the least number of admitted students. They got 120 students each.

The statement quoted the Minister of Education as saying “the resumption date for all Unity Schools for 2016/2017 academic year is September 19, 2016.”
